WHAT IS ON OFFER?
Horticulture development,
forestry and timber processing
The forestry, timber processing, and horticulture intervention expands commercial production in these sectors while deliberately integrating small-scale producers and millers into the mainstream economy.
This initiative drives strategic partnerships to advance key fruit industries such as citrus, deciduous fruits, and nut crops—sectors with direct links to rural livelihoods and export markets. A strong environmental management component underpins this programme through the removal of invasive and alien plant species. This restores ecological health while creating new economic opportunities through alternative product value chains such as biomass fuel, coal from wattle, and other by-products.
By integrating economic development with environmental restoration, this intervention delivers a holistic and sustainable model for rural agricultural transformation.
